A PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE MODEL FOR OCCUPATIONAL RISK ASSESSMENT

Eremeev M.E.

Abstract

Nowadays, the decision making based on the preliminary risk assessment became a frequent practice almost in all spheres of human activity. As a result of late changes in the legislation relating to labour safety, occupational risks assessment became an employer obligation. To organize this process, the additional training of specialists is necessary. The formation of a system for training such specialists is a topical issue both for employers and educational institutions. At the initial stage of formation of the professional competence model of a specialist for occupational risk assessment, the author selected from the occupational standard of a labour protection specialist the job functions related to the occupational risk management. The paper considers a competence model of a specialist in the sphere of industrial safety and health developed by the experts of British Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). To identify professional competences necessary for occupational risks assessment, the author suggests carrying out test assessment of occupational risks and forming a professional competence model using the technique of analysis and observation over actions necessary for risk assessment. To obtain more objective results, the author proposes carrying out such assessment within a group of three people – a labour protection specialist, a department manager, and an employee representative. The Lost Time Accident Frequency Rate and the Work Accident Severity Rate are accepted as the performance criteria of occupational risk assessment. The author suggests using the developed professional competence model in the future when training technosphere safety specialists.

Naumova O.S., Drobnaya E.V.

Abstract

The paper analyzes the content of the textbooks on the course “Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics” (FRCSE) from the perspective of setting axiological problems aimed at civic, cultural, and ethical education of schoolchildren. The authors discuss fundamental issues that reveal the axiological content of the FRCSE textbooks used by the local teachers on the Trans-Baikal Territory. The analysis focuses on such issues as culture and attitude towards it, historical aspects of the subject modules, worldview, the source of the concepts of the world, the essence of a person, the purpose of life, morality and the Golden Rule of ethics, the concepts of good and evil, repentance and penitence, compassion and mercy, man and Motherland, defense of the Motherland, man and family, man and nature, man and labor, shrines, and cultural traditions. The authors come to the conclusion that a lot of the issues proposed for study in all textbooks have much in common and contribute to the development of the individual values-based attitude to the world. Still, there is a difference in the spiritual aspects of the content of different modules of the course. The fact is emphasized that information from the module “Fundamentals of World Religious Cultures” can hardly be perceived by a 10-year-old child and does not contribute to the development of their axiological position, and the preservation of their informational and spiritual security.

GRANDPARENTS AS THE SUBJECTS OF REHABILITATION OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN WITH MOTOR ALALIA

Aleksandrova L.Y., Vatoropina S.V.

Abstract

The authors consider the potential of grandparents in the context of family education of preschool children with severe speech disorders. The paper presents the reasons increasing both the conceptual and practical significance of the grandparent institution: the current socio-demographic situation – the increase in life expectancy and its active period prolongation; the participation of grandmothers and grandfathers in the material and economic support of a family, etc. The paper contains the results of an experimental study of grandparents’ resources in the rehabilitation of preschool children with motor alalia. During the research, the authors specified some questions, each of which formed a separate line of research. The authors identified the comparability indicators of a grandparents’ sample: the number of different types of families, age and gender of grandparents, sociocultural differences. The study proved the importance of the grandparents’ role in the family education of preschool children with alalia. The paper presents the technology of studying the rehabilitation potential of grandparents, which is determined by three main areas: the study of grandparents’ attitude to the presence of a severe speech disorder in a child; the study of own speech and communication capabilities; the study of their readiness to work together with specialists in overcoming alalia in a child. The first line of research includes two diagnostic stages: a questionnaire aimed to identify the level of hereditary reflection (quantitative assessment) and a clinical interview to study the attitude of grandparents to the presence of a severe speech disorder in a child (qualitative assessment). The analysis of the second diagnostic stage allowed classifying the opinions of the progenitors and dividing them into several groups. To conduct the second line of research, the authors developed a special technique based on the methodological foundations of the theory of oral communication. It was important to identify the presence/absence of various speech disorders in grandparents. To determine the readiness of grandparents to work together with specialists in overcoming motor alalia, the authors developed a questionnaire.

Andronnikova O.O.

Abstract

The paper studies psycho-emotional characteristics of adolescents with different types of attitudes towards death. The theme of death becomes especially relevant and requires understanding during adolescence, sensitive to existential fears. In adolescence, an attitude towards death is developed, which depends both on the individual experience of facing death and on other personal characteristics of an adolescent. In the future, this attitude can affect psychological health, the definition of the meaning of life, and the specifics of behavior. The paper analyzes the psychological ideas of fear of death and the factors of its occurrence and the characteristics of adolescence, describes the features of thanatophobia manifestation in teenage years. Based on a theoretical review, the author hypothesized that self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and attitude towards death affect the emergence of thanatophobia in adolescence. The empirical sample consisted of teenagers (N=172) from Novosibirsk schools aged 15–17 years, from which 70 boys and 102 girls are. The average age of survivors was 15.8 years (max=17, min=15). In the study, the researcher used the following techniques: D. Templer Death Anxiety Scale; the “Metaphors of personal death” method by J. McLennan; the Beck Depression Scale; the Kondash scale of socio-situational anxiety; and Dembo-Rubinshtein technique for measuring self-esteem. The dispersion analysis showed that differences in the level of ambitions, negative metaphors of death, and preoccupation with physical changes are significant in terms of gender-role. The correlation analysis identified the relationship between the perception of death and death anxiety.
